Swollen With Guilt | Emotional Robot
My heart is swolen with guilt,
My eyes sting from lack of tears,
My soul is thirsty for another cup, of you,
I’ll walk these nights barefoot,
Blister ridden trails of broken promises,
My mouth has forgotten all these words, I can’t speak,
And I can’t understand my words,
I’d written them so long ago,
I’ve lost my mind tonight,
Tonight I’ve lost my mind..
I see the days turn to nights,
Silent rythms of a life passing in front of me,
My selfish needs aren’t worth much, not anymore,
Are you happy with who you are,
Another bitter thought claims my brain,
Scavengers rip at me inside, just look at me,
And I can’t understand my words,
I’d written them so long ago,
I’ve lost my mind tonight,
Tonight I’m open to read,
Bare my wounds for all to see,
My heart is swollen with guilt, I’m so sorry.
Program me to feel.. .
inhumane,
make me real.
Not an ounce of sorrow,
not a touch of bliss.
Let me adopt some emotion,
let me take your pain.
Turn me into something i’m not,
make me go insane,
use me, abuse me,
take me for granted,
take all that I’ve desired.
Disenchanted,
consume these seeds.. .
that they’ve planted.
